Malaysians for ISA

Section 8(1) in the Internal Security Act states the grounds a person can be detained under the Act.

Summarised, it is basically when (a) person(s) is/are a threat to ;

  1. Security of Malaysia or part thereof
  2. Maintenance of essential services
  3. Economic life

We Malaysians, the majority of us who put the government of the day in power demand the preservation of the Internal Security Act at its present form as we Malaysians have a right to security, essential services and a good economic life. It is our government's responsibility to protect this rights of ours for the betterment of the Nation we love.

This blog was created for our voice to be heard amongst the calls of irresponsible parties to abolish this Act. In future postings, we will try to inform readers on facts and figures as to why this Act is necessary and why we support the preservation of the Act. Please feel free to ask any questions or to leave a comment but in a civilised manner. Thank you.

Assalamualaikum.

What if Pakatan Rakyat governs the country. Do you still support ISA?

Dear Anonymous,

It is not a matter of Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Rakyat. The law is the law no matter who the governement is and ISA is indeed a legislation. One that has worked well in maintaining the peace of our beloved country from foreign and internal threats such as communism and now terrorism.

Thank you

I would like to ask you a question about ISA and Islam.Does Islam allows detention without trial ,as what ISA is all about ?

Dear Anonymous,

Good question, we are glad you brought this up. The main reason of this blog is to counter the opportunistic politicians who oppose to the ISA for their own political popularity and one of their resoning is that its "unIslamic"

Best part about that claim, is that the people we see harping on that reasoning almost all the time happens to be non muslims. But its ok, we will try to explain the best we can

Firstly, I wont dare to say that Im an expert on Islam. But from what I know about Islam, is that it is Compulsory for the leader of a Nation to provide safety and security for all its citizens, including non muslims.
Islam also wants us to improve by acquiring knowledge and learning from experiences, and upon that , Islam also advises us to use our own fair reasoning in making judgement in parallel to religious guidance we gain from its Scriptures.
The Leader of a Nation must ensure the wellbeing of its citizens & Ummah geared by the knowledge he has gained along with religious pillars as his foundation

With the "niat" of leaders as stated above, I do not see why the ISA is Islamic.

To the non muslims who still argue that it is unIslamic, since you are arguing FOR Islam, I ask if you would prefer the Islamic punishment for treachery being applied here in Malaysia instead of being detained under ISA? Ever researched what it was?
I personally would love to have the Islamic law being fully applied here in Malaysia. But would you?

Dear Yes2ISA,
Let us be reminded all politicians are opportunists, that includes you. If what you are doing now is non political then you dont know what you are doing, even our so called NGOs are more involved than the oppositions. ISA in Malaysia impedes a progressive society, it forbids our society to evolve to a new era. Yes,the society will progress under ISA eventually but we'll see the world pass us by, as being quite evident now.

Dear William Wang

So in other words, since ISA impedes progress, USA is actually heading to the ice age with its new Patriots Act?
